The government of Uttarakhand declared on Sunday that the Covid 19 limitations had been extended since the beginning of the second pandemic to prevent the spread of the virus. Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal said that lockdown-like measures will remain up to June 29.
Uniyal also declared some easing of the curfew and a pilgrimage to Badrinath and Kedarnath. This is only confined to local residents, though. Eateries and hotels received clearance from the state government and start restaurants with a capacity of 50%. However, guests would only be invited between 6 am and 10 pm.
