The Delhi Women’s Commission (DCW) has issued a notice to the Delhi Police seeking a reply for not having a woman police station in-charge (SHO) in one of the 178 police stations in the capital. The Commission has asked the Delhi Police to explain why there is no woman SHO in any of the police stations even after 33 per cent reservation?
In this regard, the Commission has asked the Delhi Police to reply by 19 March. DCW, taking cognizance of the media report, has sought a reply from the Delhi Police. According to the report, there are 178 police stations of Delhi Police in the capital, but not one of them is in charge of a woman police station.
