The Rajasthan government announced the ‘Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme’ in the budget of 2020-21. In this, all the families of the state will get cashless health insurance up to five lakh rupees.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted that Rajasthan has become the first state in the country where every family will get health insurance of five lakh rupees per year. But BJP is accusing the state government of doing politics by calling Ayushman Bharat Yojana the biggest scheme of the country.
BJP state president Satish Poonia said, “Ayushman Bharat Yojana is the biggest scheme in the country. Ashok Gehlot does not want Narendra Modi’s plan to reach the people, hence changing the name of the schemes to politics. Ashok Gehlot is giving benefits to one crore people. Talking, if he wanted to give benefits, then Ayushman would have given it from Bharat Yojana itself. “
State Health Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma has also said that this scheme is different from earlier schemes.
He said, “In the earlier health insurance scheme, eligible beneficiaries of National Food Security Act and Socio Economic Census were getting the benefit of the scheme. But in the new Chiranjeevi scheme, all families will get cashless benefit of health insurance.”
