Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that today’s government has the political will to fight corruption, whereas earlier administrations lacked both political and administrative will.
During a joint meeting in Kevadia, Gujarat, Mr. Modi addressed the officers of the CBI and the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) through a video message. He urged the cops to renew their commitment to fighting corruption. He said that the government has instilled in the public faith in the government’s ability to combat corruption.
“Earlier, the way the Governments and systems were run, they lacked both political and administrative will. Today there is the political will to attack corruption and continuous improvement is also being carried out at the administrative level.”
