In Jammu and Kashmir, the world’s highest railway bridge is almost ready to be built in Jammu and Kashmir, its construction started more than three years ago. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has shared a photo of this 476 meter long bridge built on the steel structure on the Chenab river in Jammu and Kashmir, calling it a unique model in terms of infrastructure. He has written in the tweet – Infrastructure Marble in Making. Indian Railways is on track to achieve another engineering milestone.This will be the highest railway bridge in the world. This rainbow shaped bridge is part of the ambitious project of the railway that will connect Kashmir with the rest of India. Work for this bridge started in November 2017. This bridge, costing Rs 1250 crore, will be 359 meters above the bottom of the Chenab River and 35 meters above the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris.Not only this, it will also be able to withstand 8-magnitude earthquake and high-intensity explosions at the railway bridge ruler scale. According to railway officials, there will also be a security setup related to the possible terrorist threats and earthquakes. The total length of the bridge will be 1315 meters.
