Lokesh Sharma, the OSD of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, resigned on Saturday night, hours after posting a tweet that was interpreted as an oblique criticism of the Congress over the change of leadership in Punjab. The message appeared to be about a powerful person becoming helpless and a mediocre person becoming more powerful.
On Saturday night, the officer on special duty to the Rajasthan chief minister resigned, requesting an apology for his tweet. Sharma has known Gehlot for over a decade and has been in charge of his social media accounts. After Gehlot took power in December 2018, he was appointed OSD.
