The Telangana government has asked its officials to send the primary contacts of COVID-19 positive cases only to government identified quarantine centers, while the asymptomatic secondary contacts will be ordered to undergo home quarantine for 28 days instead of 14 days, reports Telangana Today.
Earlier, the quarantine period at home was only of 14 days, but on Wednesday the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar issued orders extending the home quarantine period to 28 days and that the ‘asymptomatic secondary contacts shall not be tested’.
