The General Election results to be out today, the entire nation is glued to their TV screens, keeping a check on all the seats and who is winning from where.

Indians cannot wait to see if the party that they have been supporting will come to power or not.

TV czarina Ekta Kapoor is no different from us. She recently took to her official Instagram account to show that she is also excitedly waiting for the results along with her little one, Ravie Kapoor. Ekta, who is BFFs with BJP leader Smriti Irani, is busy cheering for her. Smriti is contesting the Lok Sabha 2019 elections from Amethi.

Ekta’s photo that is captioned, “All eyes on #amethi we are rooting for our aunt,” shows the tiny hands and feet of Ekta Kapoor’s baby boy while a TV screen is on in the distance, showing the vote counting going on.

Smriti Irani is the BJP leader who is fighting the elections from Amethi, Uttar Pradesh this year, against Congress’s Rahul Gandhi.

Smriti Irani too responded to the love and support shown in the post by commenting with a kiss emoticon and joined hands emoticon, thanking Ekta Kapoor.

This is not the first time that Ekta has shown her support for Smriti Irani and her political career. The two have always been rooting for each other.

Smriti Irani and Ekta Kapoor go back a long time. Ekta Kapoor was the producer of the hit TV show, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, which made Smriti Irani a household name. It was with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi that Smriti shot to fame and had a glowing career in TV.
