Prime Minister Narendra Modi today opened the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry’s Transforming Urban Landscape Conference-cum-Expo in Lucknow.
This three-day event, which is part of the Azadi@75 festivities, is themed New Urban India and will demonstrate potential revolutionary urban missions. This exhibition, which will run from October 5 to 7, will highlight the Modi government’s successes and marquee urban development initiatives during the last seven years.
During the exhibition, models of ways for providing the poorest people with affordable, livable, and sustainable housing, as well as mechanisms for providing seamless connectivity and uninterrupted power supply, were displayed. In keeping with the Prime Minister’s continuous emphasis on cleanliness, the show also includes a stall dedicated to the Swachch Bharat campaign.
