The Amazon River flowing through South America is the world’s largest by volume and second in length by volume. The world’s second largest river, the Amazon, is seen in gold color, pictures of which have gone viral on social media these days. NASA has recently released a picture of the Amazon River taken from the International Space Station. NASA has also revealed the reasons for the river to shine like gold.On the back of a photo of the Amazon River taken from the International Space Station (ISS), NASA has said that it is visible due to the sunlight lying in hundreds of dirty water pits in the river shining like gold. Large quantities of gold are still extracted from the river in many countries including Brazil and Peru. The Amazon River is the second river in the world by length after the Nile. It flows through Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia and Ecuador. It flows eastward from the Andes Mountains of Peru and joins the Atlantic Ocean.NASA revealed that every shining crater is a gold prospect. Gold is currently searched here or earlier. The river accumulates many metals, including gold, due to the flow of water in its sediment. According to NASA’s Earth Observatory, this photo is of a flowing river in the state of Madre de Dios in eastern Peru, which looks like rivers of gold. According to NASA, gold is mined by thousands of people in the Madre de Dios region, making it one of the largest unregistered mining industries in the world.
