“Mum was always doing something, she single-handedly brought us up.” -Kareena Kapoor Khan

Kareena Kapoor Khan opens up about how her mother single handedly brought up Bebo and Lolo.

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and her elder sister Karishma Kapoor Khan were brought up single handedly by their mother. In an interview of Mumbai Mirror when the actress were asked about their financial condition before they become a star she said, “Mum was always doing something, she single-handedly brought us up. She has a real estate business apart from other small businesses. It was tough. Though my father is also an important factor in my life.” On being asked if they got financial from Kapoor family Bebo said,  “We were left alone to fend for ourselves. But now we see more of our father, though we did not see him often in our initial years. We are a family now.”

Kapoor sister’s father Randhir Kapoor and Babita got married on Nov 6, 1971. After their first ever movie together in Kal Aaj Aur Kal. Although Randhir and Babita have been separated for decades, they never got a divorce. Recently, he said that he will be selling his ancestral home in the Chembur area of Mumbai to move closer to Babita, Kareena and Karisma.

Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress is currently on leave as she gave birth to second child a few months back. But she will soon be seen Advait Chandan’s directorial ‘Laal Singh Chadha’ co-starring Amir Khan. This movie is a Bollywood remake version of several award winning Hollywood movie ‘Forest Gump.’
