The Union Cabinet met under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed about the decisions of the cabinet.
Prakash Javadekar said that this was an important meeting before Diwali, now the government has decided that 10 areas of production will be given production based incentives, this amount will be two lakh crore rupees.
The Union Minister said that the government has taken this decision in the context of self-reliant India. This amount will be given to advanced chemistry, electronic-technology project, automobile project, telecom networking, textile, solar, LED and other fields related to LED.
According to Nirmala Sitharaman, this gift has been given to the production sector by the government from Diwali. The government is with all the sectors that will be needed. This initiative has been initiated by NITI Aayog.
