Prime Minister Narendra Modi will digitally open Vadnagar railway station on Friday, where he used to sell tea as a youngster. Modi’s birthplace is Vadnagar in Gujarat’s Mehsana district. Damodardas Modi, PM Modi’s father, had a tea stand inside the Vadnagar railway station. The PM used to assist his father to serve tea at the station when he was younger.
Because Vadnagar town is on the “historical circuit,” the railway station space has been granted a historic makeover for 8.5 crores, according to Western Railway’s Divisional Railway Manager Dipak Kumar Jha on Thursday.
Aside from the renovated Gandhinagar railway station, Modi is set to launch a slew of other developments, such as a five-star hotel atop the rebuilt Gandhinagar railway station.
