Doctors said that the patient is currently on Voriconazole. The official reports informed that the 64 years old 64-year-old woman with a medical history of Covid-19 was admitted to Ludhiana three months ago for 20 days. Even after recovering the lady had a persistent cough and was admitted to the emergency the hospital on June 12.
Previously the patient had been advised anti-tubercular treatment (ATT) in vide of persistent lung lesions.
Her doctor Dr Ashutosh Dhanuka gave an official statement with a leading daily. He said, “We have also received biopsy, which shows aspergillosis invasion. Biopsy is only the sure shot way to diagnose IPA,” He further added, “A few days ago, we diagnosed a case of invasive pulmonary mucormycosis also and now IPA,”
