An Indigo flight’s tyre bursts yesterday midnight while landing at H Hubli in Karnataka. The official reports stated that the aircraft, an ATR, was operating from Kerala’s Kannur as 6E 7979.
Although, the Indigo spokesperson has confirmed the incident and “IndiGo ATR operating 6E 7979 from Kannur to Hubli reported a tyre burst at Hubli upon arrival yesterday [ Monday] evening.” The plan has landed safely at around 8.35 pm with seven passengers and four crew. The Indigo spokesperson further said, “All passengers and crew are safe. The aircraft is currently undergoing maintenance checks at Hubli.”
Sources have informed that the Airports Authority of India (AAI) said that there were wind and rain at the flight’s time of landing. One of the official members of AAI Pramod Kumar Thakur quoted in a leading daily, “All passengers were safely deboarded and the runway was cleared for operations at 2.20 am. This was the last flight of the day, hence the airport remained unaffected. All our operations are normal today [Tuesday].”
