Indians Clapped To Thank Those Fighting At Forefront against Corona virus in Clapping Initiative

Bollywood came up for the cause

The clanging sounds rang in the air across the nation at five in the evening, having people out in their balconies, lawns and terraces to follow an appeal made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to show solidarity and express gratitude to doctors, nurses, forces and others involved in providing essential services, as the country went into an unprecedented ‘Janta Curfew’ to check the spread of the Corona virus.

The clapping continued for several minutes. People were seen clapping and clanging their utensils. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also rang the bell in Gorakhpur. To follow the Prime Minister’s appeal many politicians, famous personalities and celebrities who came up and participated to support the social cause.

Minutes before 5 PM, PM Modi took to Twitter and reminded the people to come out on the balconies to express gratitude to the people working round the clock against COVID-19

The nation is undergoing ‘Janta Curfew’ or ‘self quarantine’ today after the Prime Minister on Thursday laid emphasis on individual ‘determination’ and “restraint through social distancing” in fighting the global pandemic and called for ‘Janta Curfew’ on March 22 for the people to be  prepare for challenges of the future.
