On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India is a natural ally for the G7 countries in safeguarding shared values against a variety of dangers such as authoritarianism, terrorism, and violent extremism, misinformation, and economic pressure.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the prime minister underscored India’s cultural and social commitment to democracy, freedom of opinion, and liberty in a virtual speech at a session on “open societies and open economy” during the G7 summit (MEA).
Modi also emphasized the transformative influence of digital technology on social equality and prosperity in India, citing Aadhaar, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), and the JAM (Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile) trinity.
