According to data updated by the Union health ministry at 10 a.m. on Monday, India reported 25,072 new Covid-19 infections in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid cases in the country to 32,449,306 cases. This is the first time in 160 days that the daily count has been this low.
With 389 mew fatalities in the last 24 hours, the death toll has risen to 434,756. Meanwhile, there are 3,33,924 active cases, accounting for 1.03 percent of all instances. The recovery rate is at its highest since March 2020, at 97.63 percent.
