Malik Allah Yar Khan, who does business in Japan, also used to send money to his family in Pakistan through hawala and handi.
But he has stopped sending money through hawala and handi and now he sends money through banking channel for the expenses of his family living in Pakistan.
According to Malik Allah Yar, MD of Finance International, a business firm based in Japan, it has become easier for them to send money to Pakistan due to the facilities offered by banks.
He said that according to his information, the work of sending money to Pakistan through hawala and handi has not been completely finished.  But now a large number of people living in Japan send money to Pakistan through legal channels.
