Today, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of University of Lucknow, Prof. Alok Kumar Rai presided over a meeting with the Principals and representatives of 151 associated colleges of the University in a meeting held via video conferencing. At the onset of the meeting, the Hon’ble VC debriefed everyone present of the work accomplished by the University during the ongoing lockdown.

He then inquired about the completion of syllabi in each of the colleges, to which almost everyone informed him that at undergraduate as well as post graduate levels, 75 to 85% of the curricula have been covered. Several colleges, where mid semester exams have not yet been conducted, raised the issue of how they will be held, to which the Hon’ble VC replied that a committee has been made to look into the logistics of carrying out mid semester exams and one the committee decides on a plan of action, they will be informed of the same.

He then directed those present to further direct those who have been allotted papers to frame questions in to finish the process at the earliest. He said the question papers will be collected via email or via envelopes, depending on the decision of the above mentioned committee. If it is so decided that the papers all be collected in envelopes, the University will send its own vehicle for the collection from respective teacher’s homes.

He also urged everyone to create online subject material and said that participating teachers from colleges may send their material to the Heads of various departments in the University, who will evaluate the content for quality and once that is done, the e-content will be available on the University’s website with their and their college’s name. The meeting was hosted by Dr. Madhurima Lall, Dean, College Development Council.
