21-year-old environmental activist Disha Ravi, arrested in the ‘Toolkit’ case related to the Farmers Protest, got bail from the court. Patiala House Court approved the bail plea of Disha Ravi. The court has granted direction to bail with the condition of filling a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh. During this time, the Delhi Police had appealed to the court to extend the remand of the direction for further questioning, which was rejected by the court.
Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana (Additional Session Judge Dharmender Rana) said that after seeing all the facts, accused Disha Ravi is ordered to be released on bail. He has asked Ravi to deposit a bond of one lakh rupees and two sureties of the same amount.
Earlier, the court sent Disha on a 10-day police remand. Later Delhi Police appealed to the court for further remand, in which the court sent them back on one day remand. Disha Ravi is alleged to have been involved in the Khalistani connection in the farmer movement. Disha Ravi was arrested from Bengaluru.
The Delhi Police had asked for a 5-day police remand of Disha Ravi. The police had told the court that the conspiracy is very big and everyone has to sit face to face and inquire and the story started from 11 January. On January 11, there is a zoom meeting in which there are 4 people. Shantanu and Nikita are two co-accused in the case. Shantunu has been given a transit bell of 10 days by the court there.
