On Tuesday, Maharashtra’s Leader of the Opposition, Devendra Fadnavis, claimed that NCP minister Nawab Malik had signed a property deal with 1993 Mumbai bomb blast convict Sardar Shahwali Khan and Mohd Salim Ishaq Patel, the frontman of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar.
Addressing the media at the BJP headquarters in Mumbai, Fadnavis disclosed, “A prime property of 2.80 acres at LBS Marg in Kurla was brought by Solidus Investment Private Limited for a meager Rs 30 lakh. The signatory of the deal transacted was Faraz Malik, son of Nawab Malik.” Nawab Malik held a senior position in the corporation but resigned before being appointed to the state government’s ministerial office in 2019. The company’s directors are Malik’s wife, Mehjbeen Nawab Malik, and son, Aamir Malik.
