Corona virus case counts keeps rising in India

The number of corona virus cases in India climbed to a total of 562 with the first case reported from the North East on Tuesday. Over 40 new cases have come up   from various parts of country in a day. Fresh cases have been reported from Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana, Punjab, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Manipur.

 There are 512 active COVID-19 cases in India and a total of 40 people have been successfully treated and discharged from hospital, according to Ministry of Health and Welfare.

A 54-year-old man passed away in Madurai today, taking the death toll in the country to 10.

Kerala has emerged as the worst affected state in the country which has so far reported 109 cases. The total number of corona virus cases also crossed the count of 100 in Maharashtra. Maharashtra has recorded 101 corona virus patients, according to the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

The COVID-19 cases in Karnataka have soared up in last few days, taking the total number of patients in the state to 46. The number of cases in Telangana has raised up- to 35, including 10 foreigners.

With six fresh cases reported on Tuesday, the total number of corona virus cases in Tamil Nadu has surged to 18.

As five more people tested positive for novel corona virus in last two days, the total number COVID-19 positive cases in Uttar Pradesh has increased to 35, including a foreign national. Gujarat has reported 33 cases and Delhi has 30 patients.

Jammu and Kashmir has seven coronavirus patients while Ladakh has recorded 13 COVID-19 positive cases so far. Fresh cases were reported from Mizoram and Manipur on Tuesday.
