Congress leader T S Singh Deo on Monday said the relationship between the Congress and the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu remains firm and both parties will jointly contest the upcoming Assembly elections.
Expressing confidence in the strength of the alliance, Singh Deo said that any differences, if they arise, would be addressed internally, describing them as issues within a family that can be resolved through dialogue.
Speaking to reporters at Sathyamurthy Bhavan, the Congress state headquarters in Chennai, Singh Deo said the party was fully committed to the alliance. He added that the Congress was confident of returning to power in the state under the leadership of a capable Chief Minister M K Stalin.
The Congress leader, who is also the chairman of the AICC Screening Committee, emphasised that both parties would remain united and face the elections together. He reiterated that the alliance partners would work through any disagreements and maintain cohesion going into the polls.
