A great initiative was taken by the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish kumar to improve the education quality and increase the number of girl students . They have announced that 33% seats in state’s medical and engineering colleges will be reserved for female students.
Chief minister Nitish Kumar said that his government is trying to get a bill to set up engineering and medical universities in order to better manage these institutes. He also said that engineering colleges are being opened in all districts of the state. Many medical colleges have also been opened. This step is taken to help students pursue their higher education within the state . “ This would be a unique thing and motivate girls more towards higher and technical education”, he said. The decision was taken through a video conference with other delegates such as Deputy chief minister Renu Devi, Health minister Mangal Pandey and Minister for science and technology Sumit Singh.
