Salman Khan is making headlines for constantly taking a dig at Priyanka Chopra for leaving Bharat, the makers have released a new song Turpeya from the film.
A Punjabi number, Turpeya is sung by Sukhwinder Singh. Composers Vishal and Shekhar have given music for the song. Turpeya is a tribute to people who live away from their homes to earn their bread and butter.
The song is set in 1995 and starts with Salman Khan saying, “Duniya main aap kahi par bhi chale jao, lekin apne desh aur mitti jaisi khushboo kahi nahi milti.” (Wherever in the world you go, you will not find the fragrance of your country and its soil.)
In the song, Salman Khan is seen donning merchant navy uniform and dancing with his compatriots thousands of kilometres away from his motherland. The song also features Nora Fatehi who could be seen showing her belly dancing moves. In a dream sequence, Katrina Kaif is also seen in a wedding gown.
Bharat is an official remake of the Korean film An Ode To My Father. It also stars Jackie Shroff, Tabu, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover. It has been produced by Atul Agnihotri.
This is Salman’s third collaboration with Zafar, after Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.
