The Bharatiya Janata Party has alleged that one of its activists and his mother were ‘brutally beaten by TMC goons’ in Bengal on Sunday. A video of the victim’s woman has also surfaced. The BJP has accused the ruling party Trinamool Congress, when the elections in eight phases are to begin in the state from 27 March. However, TMC has denied these allegations.BJP worker Gopal Majumdar of Nimta area of 24 Parganas district had alleged that some TMC workers had entered his house on Saturday and attacked him. It is known that the police has started investigation in this matter.Responding to the BJP’s post, TMC MP Derek O’Brien tweeted, “Trinamool is running a positive campaign. BJP is getting frustrated. There is no option for Mamta Banerjee’s good governance in front of her. So how far will they go? Will fabricate lies cheat you. Will not leave anyone, not even old people. Fired the factory of Fake News again. Elections are starting in Bengal from 27 March. Elections are to be held here in eight phases. Results are due on 2 May.
