Prime minister Narendra Modi on Friday release the 8th installment of a financial benefit of Rs.19000 cr. to benefit more than 9.5 cr. farmers under the PM Kisan Yojna. It also includes the beneficiaries of West Bengal for the first time.
Under the scheme, farmers of the West Bengal got economic benefit for the first time on Friday. Under this scheme, which started 2 years ago, an amount of 2 thousand rupees was transferred to the account of 7.03 lakh farmers of West Bengal.
This scheme could not implement in West Bengal because there were differences between the central government and state government on various other aspects including the data of the farmers who were the beneficiaries of the scheme. On this occasion, Modi said, ‘Today the first installment has reached to million of farmers of West Bengal. As soon as the names of farmers from the states are received by the central government, the number of beneficiaries farmers will increase further.’
