As part of a nationwide effort to preserve animal species with experimental vaccines, the San Francisco Bay Area Zoo inoculates its large cats, bears and ferrets. The San Francisco Chronicle reported on Saturday that Tigers Ginger and Molly were the first two vaccinated animals at the Oakland Zoo this week.
According to the news announcement, Zoetis donated more than 11,000 doses to animals residing in close to 70 zoos, and over a dozen curatorial centres, sanctuaries, academic institutions and public bodies situated in 27 countries.
