Air Chief Marshal Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadoria said on Wednesday that the government has made several reforms and policy changes to develop indigenous capability in the defense sector. This will encourage our partners to create next generation technologies and equipment under the Make in India program.
In the inaugural session of Aero India-2021, he said that today we have the ability to monitor the entire airspace seamlessly. The Air Force has acquired such capability only with indigenously developed equipment and domestic industry.
He said that both India and the Air Force are conscious of responsibility towards their friends and partners regarding natural disasters and events. He said that the Indian airspace sector could emerge as an important player in the global airspace supply chain in the coming decades. From the geo-political strategic point of view, India is at the center of peace, stability and security in the Indo-Pacific region.
