Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar was born on 14 April 1891 in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. Today is his birth anniversary. Ambedkar is known as Baba Saheb. He is credit with the architect of the Constitution of India. The first Law Minister of independent India. She campaigned against social discrimination against Dalits and supported women’s rights. Baba Saheb adopted Buddhism in 1956. Along with him, lakhs of Dalits embraced Buddhism. He believed that the goal of mankind is to continuously improve itself.
The name of Dr. Ambedkar’s first wife Ramabai. Whom he married at the age of just 9 years. After the death of Ramabai, he married Savita for the second time. Savita Ambedkar embraced Buddhism with him. Savita died in 2003.
Dr. Ambedkar was the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constitution on 29 August 1947. Under his chairmanship, the constitution was prepare after 2 years, 11 months and 18 days.
Ambedkar resigned as the first legal minister of the country after his Hindu Code Bill draft is pass in Parliament in 1951. The draft spoke of gender equality in the laws of succession, marriage and economy.
