The Delhi government has reduced the age of drinking alcohol from 25 years to 21 years.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that the Delhi cabinet has approved the new excise policy.
Sisodia said that there will be no government liquor shop in Delhi. The Deputy Chief Minister also said that no new liquor shop will open in Delhi.
Sisodia said that the purpose of the new excise policy is to stop tax evasion.
With this policy, 20 percent increase in revenue is being said.
