Controversy over Patanjali’s ayurvedic drug coronil released for the treatment of corona has increased again. Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said that without proper certification from competent health organizations such as WHO, IMA and others, coronil would not be sold in Maharashtra.It may be noted that the Indian Medical Association (IMA) had recently questioned the clinical trial of coronil and its authenticity. The IMA has termed coronil a seductive drug. Association Secretary General, Dr. Jayesh M. Lele said that two Union Ministers including Dr. Harsh Vardhan were present to release the Ayurvedic medicine of a private company. In that program it is claimed that the World Health Organization (WHO) has certified it, whereas WHO certificate does not exist among the medical world. WHO does not issue certificates to any drug. There are some standards for that. It is a drug to trick people. This will aggravate rather than cure the disease.
