An increase in cases of corona virus infection has been reported in some parts of Maharashtra. The government is worried about this. Significantly, according to the data, the average rate of increase in infection cases was the lowest (0.12 percent) on February 8 and the rate of doubling of infection cases was the highest (574 days). Currently, the growth rate of infection cases in Mumbai is 0.20 percent and cases are doubling in 346 days. According to the data, there is an increase in the number of cases reported daily, but the number of deaths due to epidemics is low. BMC officials say that cases of corona infection, which are exposed daily, have been increasing since the second week of February. Additional Municipal Commissioner of BMC Suresh Kakani said that as restrictions were relaxed, malls, restaurants, pubs, clubs and wedding events and other functions started to get crowded, leading to increased infection cases.He said, “Many people are behaving as if there is no threat of Covid-19.
