ICMR says 17,615 COVID-19 cases in India

The total number of those infected has reached 15,712, while the death toll is now 507.

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) states 4,01,586 samples from 3,83,985 individuals have been taken for test as on 9 PM today. Up-till now there are 17,615 individuals who have been confirmed positive among suspected cases and contacts of known positive cases. Today till 9 PM, 27,824 samples were reported, of these, 1135 were positive.

2003 cases in Delhi now

With 110 new COVID19 cases adding up and 2 deaths reported today in Delhi, the total number of positive cases of coronavirus in Delhi till date rose to 2003 and the death toll increased to 45, as per the Delhi Government.

Rajasthan: Cases surge to 1478

The number of cornavirus cases spiked to 1478 in Rajasthan, with 127 fresh cases being reported today. Two more people died due to the disease, taking total death toll to 23 in the State, says Rajasthan Health Department.

Mumbai: New 135 cases

135 new COVID-19 positive cases and 6 deaths reported today; 29 people recovered from the disease. The total number of positive cases in Mumbai rises to 2798, including 131 deaths and 310 cured/discharged, says (BMC)

Tamil Nadu: State reports 100 plus virus cases

 After a week’s break, Tamil Nadu reported 100 plus coronavirus cases again on Sunday, pushing up the total number of affected people to 1,477 as authorities expanded their testing footprint with rapid test kits from China.

As many as 105 tested positive, including two journalists and a Sub Inspector as 46 people were discharged from various hospitals following recovery today, a government bulletin said. Till date 1,477 have been infected cumulatively while 1048 were the “active cases” as on date, it added. (PTI)
