In a terrible occurrence in Jammu and Kashmir, an Indian Army Cheetah helicopter went down in the Baraum region of the Gurez sector. The Army has begun rescue operations in the snow-covered area in the hopes of rescuing the helicopter crew. The reason for the accident and the number of victims, if any, were not immediately identified, according to Army sources. After taking flight, the Cheetah chopper carrying an ill BSF jawan crashed. The location is close to the Pakistani-controlled Line of Control.

According to an official, the helicopter was ready to land but “drifted away” due to weather circumstances. The accident occurred at Gujran Nallah in the Bandipora area of north Kashmir’s Gurez Sector.
