On July 10, the Shanghai Museum of Glass posted on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo that one of its finest displays had been unintentionally damaged by “two small visitors.” Two children had come to the museum with their parents, and while they were enjoying, they crawled over to the display barrier, which held a glass model of Disney’s castle. The two children collided with the glass box entombing the treasured display, shattering a piece of the glass castle.
The museum also responded on the post, stating that the family reported the event to the staff and promised to assist with the investigation.
