The Tamil Nadu government will constitute an Economic Advisory Council to the Chief Minister to chart out a rapid and inclusive economic growth path for the state, said Governor Banwarilal Purohit on monday.
He addressed the tamil nadu assembly saying, “The government will revitalize the state’s economy and ensure that the benefits of economic development reach all segments of the society after the recommendations of the Economic advisory committee”.
The council will include Nobel Laureate Ester Duflo of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), former Reserve Bank Governor Raghuram Rajan, former Chief Economic Advisor to the center , Aravind Subramanian, Development Economist jean Dreze, and former Union Finance Secretary S. Narayan.
