Actor Shahid Kapoor is pretty active on social media and often post stunning photos and stories to keep his fans updated about his day to day life. Yesterday he took to his Twitter account to convey his condolences at the death of boxer Dinhko Singh. The boxer Dingko died on Thursday of liver cancer at the age.

Shahid tweeted, “Padma Shri Dingko Singh was one of the finest boxers, an award-winning sportsperson who’s brought glory to our nation several times. He will always remain a source of inspiration for the young generations. My sincere condolences to his dear ones. May his soul rest in peace.” In an interview, the actor said, “I have the rights for Dingko Singh. It’s a film I really want to make, and I’ll make it. But I don’t know what I’m doing next,” Director Raja Krishna Menon was all set to direct the biopic, was also saddened by the fact that a film couldn’t be made on his life while he was still alive. PTI informed that Menon said, “It is unfortunate and terrible. This has come as a shock. I knew he was ill and suffering but I didn’t know it was this bad. He was a wonderful human being and a spiritual person. It is unfortunate that we couldn’t make the film before he could have seen it,”

Dingko Singh won Asian Games Gold in the year 1998, and awarded with Arjuna in that very same year. The Manipur based former boxed also honoured Padmasri for his legendary contribution to Indian sports.

Meanwhile, on his work front, he will soon be seen in a Hindi remake of Telegu blockbuster Jersey and series by DK and Raj.
