On Saturday night, a 48-year-old BJP politician was allegedly beat to death in a road rage incident in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district. Ranjit Pradhan, the Balasore district in charge of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, the BJP’s youth wing, was traveling to his in-laws’ house in Nuasahi village when he was lured into an incident with three young men on motorbikes near Kusumpur Chhak in the Kaptipada police station area.
The three suspects, according to the police officer, were well-built and soon subdued Pradhan and showered attacks on him. According to the post-mortem report, “the persistent thrashing caused internal bleeding in his brain, chest, and other vital organs.”
