With test positivity rate of 29.75%, Kerala on Wednesday reported a record 43,529 cases of coronavirus, the highest since the outbreak began, and 95 deaths.
According to the data given by state health ministry, 20 of 95 people who died on Wednesday were aged below 45 years, experts also said that it is necessary to vacvinate everyone. The youngest person who died was 22 years old.
Dr NN Arun said, “Since majority of the aged group has covered in vaccination drive it is natural virus and will target youngsters as well. We have to immunize and vaccinate them fast. At the current rate, it will take many months to cover the population of the state. We have to procure them fast.”
