Three terrorists are reportedly killed early today in an encounter with security forces in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. Sources said that the terrorists are yet to be identified.
The police report further added that the encounter started on Tuesday night after security forces launched a cordon-and-search operation in Pulwama town. The police force took to their official handle to share the Wednesday morning. They wrote, “#PulwamaEncounterUpdate: 02 unidentified #terrorists killed. #Operation in progress. Further details shall follow,”
However, the PTI report stated that the cordon-and-search operation was launched following information about presence of terrorists there. The search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists opened fire on the security forces. Arms and ammunition have been recovered and a search operation is going on.
