Neha’s track ‘Dil Ko Karaar Aaya’ which she crooned alongwith singer Yasser Desai has touched 100 million views on YouTube within one year of release. Composed by Rajat Nagpal, the song features Neha Sharma and Sidharth Shukla.

]]> Sky News Australia said on Sunday it has been temporarily suspended by the video-sharing site YouTube following the platform’s review of content for compliance with its COVID-19 policies.

Sky News Australia acknowledges YouTube’s right to enforce its policies and looks forward to continuing to publish its popular news and analysis content to its subscribers shortly,” Sky News said in a statement on its website about the one-week suspension.

The 24-hour cable and television channel, which claims to have 1.85 million YouTube subscribers, is operated by Australian News Channel Pty Ltd and is a subsidiary of News Corp Australia. YouTube, owned by Alphabet Inc’s Google, confirmed the suspension.

We apply our policies equally for everyone and in accordance with these policies and our long-standing strikes system, removed videos from and issued a strike to Sky News Australia’s channel,” a YouTube spokesperson said.

Australian media reported that the one-week suspension was issued on Thursday and came after a review of Sky News Australia’s content that allegedly denied the existence of Covid-19 or encouraged people to use hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin to treat the coronavirus, without providing countervailing context.

]]> The band BTS has launched their new song on YouTube and it has already broken records. It recorded the fastest 10- million views in just 13 minutes after the premiere. It broke its own record of the song ‘Dynamite’ that managed to do  the same in just 21 minutes. The song is titled ‘Butter’ and has become the fastest video in the history of YouTube to cross 10 million views. The video crossed 53 million views in the first seven hours of the premiere, and 5.4 million YouTube users liked it. Their earlier song ‘Dynamite’ was their first song which was premiered entirely in English. It was the biggest 24-hour debut on YouTube with over 101.1 million views

A content distribution and management platform, Popbase released the numbers, however YouTube will release the numbers in a few days. The K-pop band released the official teaser of the song on Tuesday which was also a hit. It received 1 million likes within 45 minutes of the teaser launch. After popbase released the numbers, fans shared their excitement through sharing various tweets.

About Gmail, for example, it said: “We’re aware of a problem with Gmail affecting a majority of users. The affected users are unable to access Gmail. We will provide an update by 12/14/20, 5:42 PM detailing when we expect to resolve the problem. Please note that this resolution time is an estimate and may change.”YouTube confirmed the outage of its service and informed the users that they are looking into the issue. “We are aware that many of you are having issues accessing YouTube right now – our team is aware and looking into it. We’ll update you here as soon as we have more news,” it said in a statement.

]]> Social media platforms Facebook and YouTube on Monday told the Bombay high court that they would block access to their websites to an AIMIM supporter, accused of posting inflammatory content aimed at creating communal unrest, if the Union government or the court so orders.

A division bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Madhav Jamdar was hearing a petition filed by Mumbai resident Imran Khan, seeking a direction to the police to take action against Abu Faizal for uploading incriminating hate speeches on social media.

The petitioner’s lawyer earlier said Faizal was a supporter of the Asaduddin Owaisi-led All India Majlis-e- Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM). The plea sought deletion of videos uploaded by Faizal and also a permanent ban to be imposed on him from all social media websites. In May this year, the high court ordered YouTube and Facebook to delete the videos uploaded by Faizal.

On Monday, Facebook’s counsel Darius Khambata and YouTube’s advocate Naresh Thacker informed the court that the videos uploaded by the user (Faizal) have been deleted. The petitioner’s advocate, Vivek Shukla, told the court that Faizal has uploaded videos even after his earlier clips were deleted.

“We (Facebook) can block access of the site to this user (Faizal) if the central government passes an order as per the procedure laid down under the Information Technology Act or if the court orders us to do so,” Khambata said.

Thacker, appearing for YouTube, conceded and said the URLs of the earlier videos uploaded by the user (Faizal) have been deleted. The bench sought to know from Shukla if the petitioner approached the nodal officer appointed by the government under the IT Act Section 69(A) (power to delete/block objectionable content posted online). “The IT Act has laid down a procedure by which any person can approach the nodal officer if he or she has a complaint against any content posted on the internet. Why should the court interfere and pass orders,” Chief Justice Datta said. The bench later reserved its order on the plea.
