										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mumbai Youth Congress Working President Suraj Singh Thakur on Wednesday tendered resignation from the party expressing dismay at the appointment of a &#8220;non-political and inexperienced&#8221; person for the post of Mumbai Youth Congress President.</p>
<p>This comes following the appointment of Zeeshan Siddiqui as the Mumbai Youth Congress President and Mr Thakur as the working president on August 15, 2021.</p>
<p>In his resignation letter, Mr Thakur stated, &#8220;The recent decision has disappointed me a lot and I am totally uncomfortable in working with the non-political and inexperienced person in the key organisation of Congress.&#8221;</p>

<p dir="ltr">The vehicle scrapping policy is aimed at creating an eco-system for phasing out unfit and polluting vehicles in an environmentally friendly and safe manner. The policy intends to create scrapping infrastructure in the form of Automated Testing Stations and Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities across the country.</p>
<p dir="ltr">During the launch, Union minister Nitin Gadkari mentioned that around 1 crore vehicles are there without any valid fitness. He also said that the policy is based on fitness and not the age of vehicles.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The Prime Minister stated that the scrappage policy will help modernise the vehicle fleet and will ensure scientific disposal of old polluting vehicles.</p>
