										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As per the police, a woman in her early 30s was raped and savagely assaulted in a stationary tempo in Mumbai&#8217;s Saki Naka early on Friday (September 10). According to sources, the heinous event has sent shockwaves across the country and bears a worrying resemblance to the 2012 Nirbhaya tragedy in Delhi, in which the Saki Naka woman was likewise sexually abused and tortured, with an iron rod forced into her body.</p>
<p>According to an official, the culprit, Mohan Chouhan (45), was caught few hours after the incident. He said the police control room received a call early Friday morning (September 10) about a man assaulting a woman on Khairani Road. A police crew arrived on the scene to discover a woman in a pool of blood. An officer claimed she was transferred to the Rajawadi hospital, which is managed by the city.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On Tuesday around 7.30 p.m., a young woman and her boyfriend arrived in Chamundi Hills, a popular tourist destination with a popular temple on the outskirts of Mysore. The pair ended up in the hospital with serious injuries at the end of the night. The young woman was allegedly gang-raped and beaten up by her buddy.</p>
<p>None of the men wanted for the incident had been found after more than 24 hours. The attackers are being sought by various police units, according to the authorities. When the couple refused to hand over money to a gang of men who followed them into the woods and surrounded them, the assault began.</p>
<p>When the pair refused, the group allegedly beat up the young man and raped the woman. According to the authorities, the student&#8217;s friend stood there helplessly while she was raped, unable to intervene. Around 1.30 a.m., they were brought to the hospital. The woman is a private college student.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="font-weight: 400">A couple has been arrested for killing an elderly woman and throwing her body into a canal in Delhi’s Najafgarh area, police said on Tuesday. The couple had taken a loan of Rs.1 lakh from the woman and were unable to pay it back. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Anil Arya and his tanu have admitted their crime and told police that they cut the body into many pieces before throwing it in the Najafgarh canal, Senior police officer Santosh Meena said. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Police have now retrieved the 75-year-old woman’s body from the canal. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The accused, who is an event management official , told the police that the woman had been constantly asking the couple to return her money. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The couple, who live in the same neighbourhood, strangled the woman when was alone at her house, police said. </span></p>
