										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Filmmaker-producer Nikkhil Advani is once again collaborating with streamer Disney+ Hotstar for his new series &#8220;The Empire&#8221;. The Hotstar Specials series, created by Advani, is described as a monumental period adventure drama tracing the origins of a dynasty. To be directed by Mitakshara Kumar, the drama will follow the life story of a warrior, adventurer, survivor, and a king. Touted to be one of the grandest shows ever created in India, the series promises a magnificent visual spectacle mounted on a scale not seen on the digital realm before, a release from the streamer said.</p>
<p>Advani, known for films such as &#8220;Kal Ho Na Ho&#8221;, &#8220;D-Day&#8221; and &#8220;Batla House&#8221;, had previously worked with the streamer for &#8220;November Story&#8221; and &#8220;Grahan&#8221;.</p>
<p>The filmmaker will serve as showrunner on the project. His sister Monisha Advani will produce along with Madhu Bhojwani through their banner Emmay Entertainment.</p>
<p>Creating &#8220;The Empire&#8221; was a huge challenge but also a massive honour, the filmmaker said in a statement.</p>
<p>&#8220;Bringing alive a visually stunning world with a solid story narrative was the main aim for me, Mitakshara Kumar our director and everyone at Emmay Entertainment. Right from the story, to the star-cast and high production value &#8211; our ambition was to create a show that is larger than life; one that leaves a lasting impression on viewers,&#8221; Advani said.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Controversy has arisen over Amazon Prime&#8217;s new web series &#8216;Tandav&#8217;.  The Uttar Pradesh Police has registered a criminal case against the makers of the series and the streaming platform.  The series has been alleged to have insulted Hindu deities.  A senior officer of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has warned of to arrest in this case.<br> Let me tell you that the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry had sought a response from Amazon Prime in this matter after a complaint by Maharashtra BJP leader Ram Kadam, after which this case has been registered.  The director, producer and writer of this series of big stars like Saif Ali Khan and Dimple Kapadia, head of India Original Content of Amazon Prime, has been accused of insulting religious animosity and place of worship in the country through this series.<br> This complaint has been lodged by a sub-inspector posted at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow.<br> After the case was registered, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath&#8217;s media advisor Shalabhamani Tripathi shared a copy of it on Twitter and wrote, &#8216;Don&#8217;t tolerate messing with public sentiments, Yogiji against the entire team of Tandav, a hate web series under the garb of cheap web series  Case registered in serious sections in Uttar Pradesh, preparations to arrest soon !! &#8216;<br>The policeman who filed the complaint said that after seeing the criticisms of the film on Twitter, he informed his superiors about it, after which he got the order to watch the series.  The complaint states, &#8216;In the first episode, in the 17th minute, Hindu gods and goddesses have been shown to speak highly of the gods and goddesses in a very seductive manner and associated with religion and use low-level language.  , Which provokes religious sentiments and is shocking.</p>
