<p>He also stated that in the past, he had to &#8220;fall at the feet&#8221; of bureaucrats and drug regulators to obtain licenses, but that this has changed now, resulting in the speedy launch of SII&#8217;s COVID-19 vaccine, Covishield.</p>
<p>Mr. Poonawalla was speaking at the Lokmanyat Tilak National Award ceremony, which was hosted by the Lokmanya Tilak Trust. Another 11,25,140 doses are in the works, according to the company.</p>
<p>According to statistics available at 8 a.m. on Sunday, more than 37.16 crore doses, comprising wastages, had been taken of the over 38.60 crore doses.
