Authorities stated that the content could negatively impact social harmony and law and order. Protests against the film were also reported from Varanasi and Prayagraj, where people expressed strong opposition to its title and theme.

Pathak further said that the government remains committed to maintaining social unity and will not allow content that encourages division or unrest. Following the directives, Hazratganj police have begun identifying and taking action against individuals involved in sharing the film’s controversial promotional material online.

The Uttar Pradesh government has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the financial transactions of madrassas operating across the state with a focus on identifying sources of funding and construction expenditure. The move comes amid ongoing inquiries into suspected foreign funding being routed to these institutions.

According to official instructions all district minority welfare officers have been directed to examine the cost and funding sources of madrassa buildings and submit detailed reports to the directorate. The objective is to trace the financial trail and determine whether the funds used for construction and operations have been obtained through legitimate means.

An ATS level Special Investigation Team is already probing cases related to foreign funding. It is estimated that nearly four thousand madrassas in Uttar Pradesh may have received funds from foreign sources. Preliminary findings have revealed that several madrassas lack clear income sources despite operating from large and well constructed buildings. In many cases operators have failed to provide verified documentation explaining the origin of funds used for construction.

The Minority Welfare Director has instructed district officials to extend full cooperation to the ATS during the investigation. Officials have been told to provide all necessary assistance whenever requested to ensure a thorough and transparent probe.

As part of the verification process the bank accounts of both recognised and unrecognised madrassas will be examined. Authorities have also been directed to scrutinise the personal bank accounts of madrassa operators to verify financial transactions. Any irregularities detected during this process must be reported immediately for further investigation.

District officials have additionally been instructed to collect inputs from local intelligence units and other agencies regarding foreign funding and verify the information through independent sources before submitting a comprehensive report. The findings will form the basis for further action by the government.

LUCKNOW | Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that Uttar Pradesh is on a definitive path to becoming a global destination for medical technology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and healthcare innovation. Speaking at the inauguration of the UP Healthtech Conclave 1.0, the CM emphasized that the state’s primary mission is to provide high-quality, affordable medical services to the very last person in the social strata.
Redefining Healthcare through Technology
During the event, the Chief Minister launched the UP Healthtech Medical Research Application Software. This digital platform is designed to bring transparency and efficiency to clinical trials and pharmaceutical research. Additionally, he released a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) booklet containing 22 protocols for Institutional Ethics Committees to standardize research across the state.
The CM highlighted that the “Ease of Living” vision of the Prime Minister can only be realized through the maximum use of technology. He suggested that health screening should begin at the village level, ensuring that patients do not have to travel long distances (40–50 km) for basic medical consultations.
Milestones in Public Health
Reflecting on the state’s progress over the last seven years, the CM noted:
Ayushman Bharat Success: Over 5.5 crore Ayushman cards have been issued, providing a lifeline to poor families who previously struggled with medical expenses.
Disease Eradication: UP has seen a massive victory against Encephalitis, recording zero deaths in the last two years. Significant strides have also been made in controlling Tuberculosis (TB).
Institutional Progress: Maternal and infant mortality rates have seen a sharp decline, now aligning with national averages due to improved institutional delivery systems.
A Call for Investment and Housing
Beyond healthcare, the CM used the platform to invite global investors, citing UP’s robust infrastructure, security, and “Single Window” clearance system.
In a concurrent development for urban welfare, the CM transferred the first installment of funds to 9,421 beneficiaries under the PM Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0. He remarked that this initiative would soon fulfill the dream of homeownership for over two lakh families in the state.

The police in Mathura carried out coordinated raids in four villages on Thursday as part of a major crackdown on cybercrime networks, leading to the detention of forty two suspects, officials said. Among those held, four individuals were wanted in multiple cyber fraud cases and are currently being interrogated, according to Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Suresh Chandra Rawat. The officer stated that objectionable material was also recovered from their possession.

Rawat explained that the action was taken after persistent complaints from people who reported being deceived through fraudulent phone calls originating from these villages. Using mobile numbers, SIM details, and location tracking, police teams began an early morning search operation. All entry and exit points of the villages were sealed before the raids commenced.

The villages Devseras, Mudseras, Daulatpur, and Nagla Takiya in the Govardhan area have earned notoriety for cyber fraud activities, drawing comparisons to Jamtara in Jharkhand, a region widely known for cybercrime. The large scale operation included four additional superintendents of police, four deputy superintendents, twenty six inspectors, approximately three hundred constables, personnel from the Provincial Armed Constabulary, and cyber cell teams.

Officials suspect that those detained may have connections to broader cybercrime syndicates. Cyber experts are examining data extracted from seized mobile phones, and further legal steps will be taken based on the analysis.

Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Rajeshwar Singh has called for the introduction of artificial intelligence education for school students in Uttar Pradesh, along with the creation of a state-level commission aimed at preparing children for increasing global competition and ensuring equal opportunities. The legislator from the Sarojini Nagar constituency in Lucknow outlined an eight-point action plan in a letter sent to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday.

In his letter, Singh wrote that the present era belongs to artificial intelligence, a technological wave that is reshaping humanity. He added that this is the right moment for Uttar Pradesh to guide the nation’s shift from Digital Bharat to AI Bharat.

As part of his proposal, he suggested forming a task force made up of experts from IIT Kanpur, IIIT Lucknow, NCERT and NITI Aayog. This group would develop a phased action plan within six months. Singh also recommended launching a pilot project covering around 200 schools across urban, rural and minority-dominated regions. The school curriculum, he said, can be expanded to include logic, patterns, digital behaviour, coding, robotics, data fundamentals, machine learning and AI ethics.

He explained that such a curriculum would strengthen analytical abilities, reasoning skills and real-life problem-solving capabilities among students. The proposed commission would work across various sectors including education, industry, research, cybersecurity, ethics and employment, creating a unified policy structure for AI learning, industrial application and ethical governance.

Singh stated that the government could allocate about Rs 450 crore over a period of five years to train students and teachers and establish resource centres in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh by 2030.

Uttar Pradesh | Security agencies have intensified their investigation across Uttar Pradesh following the deadly car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort that claimed at least twelve lives. Search operations were carried out in multiple districts including Lucknow, Saharanpur, and Lakhimpur Kheri as authorities traced possible links of suspects connected to the attack. Public areas remained under tight security as officials strengthened monitoring and conducted identity checks of individuals suspected of being linked to those already detained.

Probe at Lucknow Residence of Detained Doctor

In Lucknow, a combined team of the Anti-Terrorist Squad, local police, and central investigation units searched the Muttaqipur residence of Dr Shaheen Shahid who had earlier been arrested in relation to the Delhi explosion case. Officials collected documents and questioned her relatives and neighbors to understand her background. Her father Syed Ahmad Ansari expressed disbelief over her alleged involvement stating that his daughter had completed her medical studies in Allahabad now Prayagraj and had no known association with extremist groups.

Dr Shaheen Shahid who had earlier been arrested in relation to the Delhi explosion case.

Authorities believe Dr Shaheen may have had connections with Dr Muzammil from whom a large cache of explosives was seized earlier in Faridabad.

Muzammil was already wanted by Jammu and Kashmir Police in a separate case involving online posts supporting the banned militant group Jaish e Mohammed.

Family in Lakhimpur Kheri Claims Innocence of Detained Youth

In Lakhimpur Kheri, the family of Mohammad Suhail who was detained by Gujarat ATS from Banaskantha district on suspicion of terror activities claimed he had been wrongfully implicated. Suhail lived in Singahi town with his parents and siblings and had been pursuing religious education at a madrassa in Muzaffarnagar for the last three years. His mother said he was a calm and disciplined student who had never engaged in any unlawful behavior. She added that he last visited home during Bakrid in June and later informed his sister that he was on vacation in Gujarat.

The family’s modest house has been under police watch since his detention though authorities confirmed that no criminal record of Suhail exists in the district. His father and younger brother both work as mechanics.

Investigations Continue in Saharanpur Over Suspected Links

In Saharanpur, investigators are examining the background of another accused, Dr Adil Ahmad, who was arrested on November 7 by Jammu and Kashmir Police with the support of local authorities. Adil, originally from Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir, had been staying in Bapu Vihar Colony on Ambala Road while working at Famous Hospital for the past six months. Locals described him as quiet and private though his home often saw late night visitors and vehicles parked outside.

He had previously worked at another private hospital in the city where the management stated he had always been polite and dedicated to his patients showing no signs of suspicious behavior. The case against Adil emerged after posters supporting Jaish e Mohammed appeared in parts of Srinagar and CCTV footage allegedly captured him putting them up. Following electronic surveillance, his location was traced to Saharanpur where he was taken into custody from the hospital and handed over to Srinagar Police. The hospital has since removed his name from its records.

Joint teams from Jammu and Kashmir Police, Uttar Pradesh ATS, and central agencies are continuing inquiries in Saharanpur to identify any associates or local links that could connect Adil with others involved in the Delhi blast.

Statewide Security on High Alert

Following the explosion in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh Police have increased security across the state conducting intensive checks in busy areas such as markets, metro stations, shopping centers, railway stations, and bus terminals. Bomb disposal squads and dog units have been deployed at sensitive locations to prevent further incidents.

A senior police officer stated that continuous patrolling has been ordered in all major districts and the state remains on high alert until further notice. The enhanced vigilance covers cities including Lucknow, Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Mathura Vrindavan, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Saharanpur, and Aligarh.

Among the twelve victims of the Delhi blast, four individuals identified so far were residents of Uttar Pradesh—Ashok Kumar from Amroha, Nauman Ansari from Shamli, Mohsin from Meerut, and Dinesh Mishra from Shravasti—while another victim, Shiva Jaiswal from Deoria, is undergoing treatment for injuries.

Tensions escalated in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday when “I love Muhammad” graffiti was discovered on the walls of five temples in Bhagwanpur and Bulaqigarh villages. The incident led to a heavy police presence as authorities began an investigation into the act of vandalism.

Senior police officials, along with forensic teams, were promptly dispatched to the site. CCTV footage from nearby areas was reviewed to identify those responsible. As a result, a case has been filed against eight individuals: Mustaqeem, Gul Mohammad, Sulaiman, Sonu, Allahbaksh, Hameed, and Yousuf.

Neeraj Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), emphasized the seriousness of the incident, stating, “We are investigating all angles thoroughly. No one found guilty will be spared.”

Authorities are also exploring the possibility of a land dispute being linked to the incident, according to Kumar.

Meanwhile, Gyanendra Singh Chauhan, All-India Vice President of the Karni Sena, lodged a police complaint regarding the incident. He criticized the local police for their handling of the situation, accusing them of negligence. Chauhan claimed that instead of taking action against the culprits, the police had initially detained the villager who reported the graffiti. He further alleged that police personnel had attempted to remove the slogans from the temple walls to calm tensions.

The issue of ‘I Love Muhammad’ graffiti first sparked controversy earlier this year, when police in Kanpur filed an FIR against 24 individuals for allegedly placing similar boards during an Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi procession. This incident ignited protests across Uttar Pradesh and other states, drawing attention to rising religious tensions.
