										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has asked Chief Justice of India N V Ramana to restart physical hearings in the Supreme Court, claiming that the COVID-19 condition in the capital city has become &#8220;nearly normal.&#8221; As a precaution, the SCBA proposed that only attorneys be permitted to visit courtrooms, while litigants and media representatives may view the proceedings through online mode.</p>
<p>The association suggested the following procedures for restarting physical hearings: &#8220;all courts must sit at 10:30 a.m., as has been the norm of this court. On Miscellaneous days, i.e., Monday and Friday, there should be six 45-minute sessions, with 10 cases assigned to each slot, so that about 60 cases may be heard.&#8221;</p>
